Today I want to talk about mental health. Recently, my faculty organize a mental health talk for the student. This issue is no joke and that is why the education institute all over the world emphasize this matter to the student since the student especially prone to this issue. It is understandable that young adults and teenagers to have this mental crisis considering the lack of experience in their life. What important is not only people that need to come to them but they have to open up themselves to society and look for way to overcome their crisis.
Mental health includes our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It affects how we think, feel, and act. It also helps determine how we handle stress, relate to others, and make choices. Mental health is important at every stage of life, from childhood and adolescence through adulthood.
Over the course of your life, if you experience mental health problems, your thinking, mood, and behavior could be affected. Many factors contribute to mental health problems, including:
  • Biological factors, such as genes or brain chemistry
  • Life experiences, such as trauma or abuse
  • Family history of mental health problems
Mental health problems are common but help is available. People with mental health problems can get better and many recover completely.

I personally have been through some mental crisis when I was 13 years old. It happens when it was the first time I've been so far away from home. I attended boarding school that I myself choose on whim. I thought it would be cool to do something new. I did not even think twice about it and just simply go for it. I was naive and young and for kids that age the most fearsome thing is to be lonely. So I made up cool stories so that people pay attention to me and whenever I remembered those times I feel so ashamed of myself and it somewhat funny how different I am now compare to the then me. At first of course people believed what I said and I'm happy that they talk and pay attention to me but its not for long. Some senior found out that I made up stories, that I lied and they started to shun me. They condemn me a lot. I felt so horrible and awful that I just want to go home at that time. I keep crying and people avoided me. I felt so horrible and awful that I just want to go home at that time. I keep crying and people avoided me. I felt my mental collapsing like literally. Thank goodness that the new year holiday was around the corner that time and I can go home and collect my thought. I almost don't want to go back to school but I am a very stubborn person so I toughen up and face it. At that time I don't have any idea about what stress management was and so on so I reason with myself and found that the best course of action was to face the mess that I made and apologize. It surprisingly goes well and not long after people forgot about what I've done or maybe they simply don't want to remember it because it was useless anyway and everything went normal again. This incident taught me a lot of things. I started to observe more and not talkative as before. I'm always spend my time thinking and if I got problem I just sleep it off. The lesson learn was 'Silence is golden'. It was bitter and embarrassing memories for me and I learn it hard ways but its all youth is all about right?

The bottom line is, only you yourself can make changes. Even if your loved ones work hard for you to change but you don't want that it would be meaningless. Admit wrongs and do not afraid to go out of your comfort zone because you don't know what exactly waiting for you out there. So guys, stay positive and spread positive vibes❤.
